Lincoln’s Christmas Market is one of the oldest and most popular markets around, and provides a truly festive experience, with a traditional, high-quality event for all the family.

Throughout the duration of the market, there are alterations to the local EMR services to and from Lincoln, with an additional LNER service to and from Leeds.

For 2019, on Friday 6 and Saturday 7 December, Northern will also be providing an enhanced Lincoln service running on both days utilising their Sheffield to Gainsborough Central stopping services which will be diverted away from Gainsborough Central to serve Lincoln calling additionally at Gainsborough Lea Road, Saxilby and Lincoln Central.

As a result of the rerouting to provide the enhanced service, Gainsborough Central will not be served all day on Friday, and only by the Sheffield to Cleethorpes service on Saturday.

The Leeds to Lincoln Express services also has a minor change and have an additional call on both days at Kiveton Bridge; towards Lincoln in the morning and from Lincoln in the afternoon only.

For the information project, which is separate from the Marketing Project, I was asked to do a leaflet of the revised train service for the two days and also two posters; one specially for Gainsborough Central’s significant changes to service and the other a standard timetable poster which is driven largely from the leaflet itself given it’s now possible to plan InDesign files in erm InDesign files!
